I definitely recommend this program to anyone who is looking to find their voice or hone their writing skills! Students, new grads -- I think anyone can benefit from this experience. I really enjoyed the freedom of writing about my personal interests, and things I am passionate about, while still adhering to the standards of a online publication. Not only that, it was a great way to connect with like-minded women from all over, who shared their personal advice and perspectives. I've done a few internships in the past, but none have made me feel as connected to my work AND my fellow interns as this one! 10/10! - Ashleen Grange 18'

"I found the application on Twitter and almost didn't apply (imposter syndrome) but I'm so glad I did! I've gained skills that will help in the future and I'm expanded my network of professional black women and girls."

I feel like I have grown in many different ways. The Dinner Table Doc has helped me understand how important it is to have positive women of color in my life supporting me. It has taught me the power of sisterhood.

This program is amazing because you can have a supportive sisterhood where you can work together with the mission to stop the negative portrayal of black women. It is a positive environment, where we can dispel the myth that black women can help and uplift each other and not have the crab in the barrel mentality. Thank you for allowing me to be part of revolutionary movement of The Dinner Table Documentary and I will continue to support it in the years to come."

"This has been the BEST by far professional development experience for me. During this program, I was able to form a sisterhood with the other interns. They all are intelligent, power black young ladies and I am so thankful that I was able to be a part of the DTD. The skills I have learned, I will take throughout my journey."
