Programs

At The Dinner Table Doc, we believe that participant growth and development are directly connected to the long-term life success of each girl beyond their time in our programs. All of our programs provide resources for leadership and goal-setting, foster healthy conversations about identity and self-confidence, and promote healthy eating and communication skills.

  • "I felt the safety necessary

to be vulnerable in this space. So many times I am closed off and reserved due to the fear of not being understood, respected or well received but at The Dinner Table I felt the comfort I needed to have a vulnerable dialogue."

  • "The thing I love most about

the Dinner Table Doc is that I can be who I am and I don’t have to worry about fitting in or people liking me. I love the way it feels like a second home and you can talk about anything. The games we play are so much fun and I love all the teachers and their positive attitudes. I never used to like reading but The Dinner Table Doc makes reading fun and interactive. I am so grateful to be a part so something so inspiring.

  • "In this program I felt understood

and acknowledged. Talking and working with people that I related to so much made me really happy. I would love to be in more of The Dinner Table's activities.”

  • "After today's event I would

frame a picture of a 15 year old girl with an afro standing on the globe. This image would represent that my black is beautiful and society would never tear me down. This event meant so much to me because silence was my loudest scream and The Dinner Table is now my voice. Thank you."
